Back To The Now
YKYN! Shop For Good is it
I wake today to a world in transition. Our hearts and minds are on global issues and incredibly personal ones at the same time. As an adult, a mother of a teenage girl and a woman, I find myself deeply moved. My innate response is to try to do what will help. In my mind, that means to not get in the way of those who are trying to be there for those who need it. I’m trying to come up with something much better that this.
For now, this piece is going be Marketing lite with a little look at it, as we can’t see the forest for the trees and that’s how social media marketing is. We live it, in it, so describing it is a little perplexing, approaching it surgically is not where I’m at with it right now, tonight.
One little nugget, perfectly placed, can have the magnitude of a volcanic eruption. Subtlety can have an impact and I am trying to master this approach. Social Shopping is where we left off in my previous piece, so we’ll move on this a little more. The imagery is what this kind of marketing is about. Things move fast in this world, so what’s “in” today is “out” tomorrow. I would though like to resist this and have people who visit my shop do so mindfully. Take time to really think about their decision to spend their dollars and make their money make a difference. Every product page enables customers to donate to charities and causes dear to my heart. Back to the question, is my shop cause-oriented. I could have it no other way.
